Welcome to the new EOC Website!

Updated: Jun 7, 2023

Welcome EOC members!

I thought I'd take a second to introduce myself, and our new website. I'm Sean Murphy, your club Vice President. One of the things your Board has been working on is this new website. We not only wanted to modernize, but also bring you more information, more ways to get involved with the club, and more ways to get to know your fellow club-members.

New Features

This site contains a few features we didn't have before I wanted to call your attention to:

  • The calendar is now right on the front page where you can see it easily.

  • Our Facebook feed is now copied to the website, which is especially useful for you non-Facebook users - you can now see our posts.

  • We will be offering additional EOC merchandise to help raise money for the club (and we all know looking cool at the range makes you a better shooter).

  • We will be offering a member only area with chat rooms! We are really excited to offer this new way to reach out to other members. There will be spaces to chat about firearms, archery, hunting, reloading, competitive shooting, training opportunities, buy/sell/trade, and maybe make a range buddy to shoot with. We will provide another blog post soon with details so stay tuned!

  • We will be offering sign-up opportunities to help out at the club. Remember each time you help we throw your name in the hat for the end of the year drawing! More than that, you help keep the club alive for everyone to enjoy. We will provide another blog post soon with details so stay tuned!

  • We will post polls asking for your opinion on club direction, and what you want to see us offer. We value your opinion and we hope you'll take a minute every now and then to tell us what it is! We will provide another blog post soon with details so stay tuned!

In Closing...

As I close our first blog, I want to say thank you for being a member. Thank you for supporting us so we can keep the club alive. I'm sure I don't need to tell you that opening clubs like ours is nearly impossible these days. If we don't support the club, we will lose a community asset we will likely never get back. We are looking to expand further into the community and become a real asset to our neighbors. We hope you will join us by becoming involved with some of the greatest group of folks I've ever had the pleasure to work with.

I will leave you with a quote by George Washington, from the First Annual Address to both Houses of Congress on January 8, 1790: "A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined..."

Stay safe, stay responsible, and stay on target!

Sean Murphy

Vice President
