Fritz Bedford
Chief Range Officer
Fritz was born in New Hampshire and raised in the Upper Valley, attending Hanover High School, St. Lawrence University, the University of New Hampshire and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, obtaining degrees in Physics and Mechanical Engineering. He has taught engineering classes at UNH, UW-Madison and Norwich Universities. Currently working at Siemens, he is the manager of the Lagrangian multiphase program, specializing in simulation of particulate flows.
Fritz is NRA certified as a Range Safety Officer and is currently the Chief Range Safety Officer at the Enfield Outing Club. He is one of the coaches of the EOC youth shooting team, the Granite State Sharp Shooters. He also teaches NRA Basic Pistol as well as other handgun classes and is a competitive shooter in the Steel Challenge, IDPA and USPSA disciplines.
In addition to coaching the GSSS, Fritz has coached swimming at the grade school, high school and college levels. He is a member of the St.Lawrence University Athletic Hall of Fame, achieving All American status nineteen times while competing for SLU. He currently competes in US Masters swimming, holding several world Masters records, however finds teaching and coaching the most rewarding activities on the face of the earth. He does not watch television.
